Dennis C. Haley : ウィキペディア英語版 | Dennis C. Haley Dennis C. Haley (1893-1966) was president of Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts from 1960 to 1965. Dennis Curran Haley was born in 1893 in Warren, Massachusetts to William T. Haley and Margaret C. Curran. He received his A.B. in 1915 from the College of the Holy Cross and then his A.M. in 1922 and LL.D. in 1944 from the same school. Haley received a diploma from Boston Normal School in 1916 and was a student at the Boston University School of Education from 1919 to 1924 and Boston College School of Education from 1923 to 1932. He received an Ed.M. from Harvard University in 1925.〔Who's who in the East: Volume 8 (1962)〕 Haley married Margaret Mary Casey on Aug. 1, 1927. He served as Master of Roxbury High School from 1919 to 1924 and Jr. Master from 1924 to 1926, head of department from 1926 to 1929. Haley served as a professor from 1929 to 1934 at Boston Technical College. He served as head master of Hyde Park High School from 1934 to 1941 and assistant superintendent of schools starting in 1941. Haley authored and edited various articles. Haley served as Boston Public School Superintendent until being selected as president of Suffolk University in 1960.
